Sunset on Inkscape

This time, we were asked to follow an advanced tutorial from the web. I chose to make a sunset with a boat and birds. It was quite easy, but the effect it creates is amazing. The birds are not really supposed to have a reflection in the water, but I thought it would create a nice effect.
I really like what I have done here and I think it is my best piece of work on inkscape...so far!

Motocross accident on photoshop

This was one of my favourite effects to create on photoshop. To do it I had to copy the wheel over to the right, then complete the missing part of the wheel, before actually removing the wheel from the bike itself. It was hard to copy the spokes from the lower right of the wheel to the opposite, the top left, without making them look any different. Go onto my Flickr account to see the full size picture and inspect the detail for yourself! (The link is at the bottom of the page.)

Surfer too slow for the board: photoshop

This was the hardest photoshop editing project I have done so far, and it ended up almost 100% successful. The only thing that went wrong was the surfers shadow on the right. You can still see the reflection of his wet suit, but I managed to get rid of the arm. That was important, because it was more prominent. I still think it looks very realistic

Skier without skis on photoshop

This was a very quick picture I edited on photoshop.
it again involved the clone stamp, but this time it was about removing something completely from the picture, in this case, the persons skis. It was hard to get rid of the skis and the ski shadows.

Re-touching on photoshop

This unit in Digital Art was photoshop. The first skill we learned was re-touching faces. getting rid of facial imperfections and blemishes, a bit like a professional magazine front cover maker. To do this, we had to use the clone stamp. We would alt-click the area we wanted to clone, and then click the area we wanted to cover. We would have to refresh the clone stamp very often to make it look realistic.

Vector Graphics cute animal and cartoon character

This next unit was all about creating a cute cartoon animal by giving it an out of proportioned head and eyes. It's body woiuld be too small and so would its legs. To create a shine in its eyes, all you had to do was give it a little white circle of reflection in its pupils. A cute animal also consists of lots of spaces with one colour in it. I think i could have done a better job on the legs and paws.

The next part of the task we had to create a cartoon character in a similar style to a south park character. It was hard to give a 3-D effect to the hat, plus I had never seen south park before, so I'm unfamiliar with all the characters. I used a similar technique to our previous task, tracing round an object andplacing a pattern in it. i used this to make the jeans. i found a picture of some jeans and traced round it, then clip-set it. I think i could have taken some more time to make some shoes.

Photoshop filters

These are my two favourite pictures that I have edited on photoshop using filters. The first one is a lens flare flter, and I really like it because it makes me look like I'm some kind of God and one of the boys is trying to attack me but the other one is scared.
The second one is a plastic wrap filter, and I like it because its mixing a synthetic material with humans and nature.
